Welcome to the CROB Project
The project Collaborative Research on Occupational Balance (CROB) is a collaboration between IMC Krems University of Applied Sciences and Duervation in Lower Austria and Karolinska Institutet in Sweden and is funded by the Gesellschaft für Forschungsförderung Niederösterreich. This research project examines the occupational balance of informal caregivers of stroke survivors in Austria and Sweden.
This RTI partnership aims to

better comprehend the crucial role of occupational balance in informal caregivers as well as its facilitators and barriers on the individual, social, and political level.

develop multifaceted interventions facilitating occupational balance among informal caregivers of persons with stroke.
Our Vision is to

design and pilot multifaceted interventions to enhance occupational balance among informal caregivers of persons with stroke via participatory design methods

translate research findings into policy recommendations and develop innovative policy strategies to empower informal caregivers and enhance their occupational balance at the national and EU level

raise awareness about the crucial role of occupational balance to maintain and improve informal caregivers’ health and wellbeing
